There is no way I can hide this for you and I cannot lie about it either: I am a little bit in love with my latest Pinocchio. I have made many Pinocchios over the years, with red and yellow, red and blue, red and white stripes, but this one is different. The colors are more subdued, with a touch of fading beige/pink. All kinds of techniques blend together before Pinocchio is looking into its world. There is the fiddling with the pieces of mohair to fit in his joints, there is clay for the ‘wooden’ touch in his long nose and the nuts, which has been painted afterwards and there is the face-making-technique which gives the bear its real character. Welcome Pinocchio, feel happy!
